The fourth annual 5K/10K Run, Walk and Roll event, benefiting Arizona Disabled Sports, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Tempe Beach Park, 620 N. Mill Ave.  Participants of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign up for this community event.
“This is our fourth year sponsoring the event and each year we’ve grown in the number of participants,” Arizona Disabled Sports Director, Lane Gram said.  “We hope that this run will show the community that disabled athletes compete at a high level. In fact, because of their disabilities they push even harder.”

Registration fees are $25 for 5K, 10K, and 1 mile fitness walk and $10 for half-mile kid’s fun run.  Race as a team and receive a discount.  Register 10 and receive two free entries, register 20 and receive five free entries. All participants will receive a technical shirt, goody bag, pre and post-race refreshments, and access to numerous vendors.

All proceeds benefit sports and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Registration is now open at:  First race begins at 8:00 a.m.  The event is also seeking volunteers.  To volunteer as an individual or group, please contact Nina Bernardo at (480) 835-6273 or email or visit
