Mesa, AZ – Mesa’s Youth Sports League is partnering with the Chicago Cubs and hosting a free Pitch, Hit and Run competition on Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Hohokam Stadium, 1235 N. Center St. Boys and girls, ages seven to 14 will compete in pitching accuracy, hitting distance and quickness on the base. Winners in each division will receive two tickets to the Saturday, March 9 game against the Cleveland Indians.
Chicago Cubs players will be on hand to meet and cheer on the kids. Kids are also able to participate in the Home Run Derby that same night. Each participant will have 15 pitches, three minutes or five outs (whichever comes first) to hit as many home runs as possible.
Registration is available on-site. All participants must submit a City of Mesa waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

Continue the fun by joining us for Youth Sports’ Day at on Saturday, March 9 at 1:05 p.m. The whole family is invited to watch the Chicago Cubs play the Cleveland Indians. Make sure the kids wear their Youth Sports shirt. Tickets to the game can be purchased at www.cubs.com or at the Hohokam Stadium box office, 1235 N. Center St.
