Registration open for Hershey's Track and Field Games

Mesa, AZ – Come out and compete at the Hershey’s Track and Field Games on Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m. at Mountain View High School. The competition is free to participate. Boy and girls ages nine to 14 will compete in separate divisions. The competition will include the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter and 4x100 relay races. Competition in long jump and softball pitches will also be held during game day. Participants will compete for a chance to qualify for the North American Final in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Register online at: www.hersheystrackandfield.com or on-site before 9 a.m. Online registration ends at noon on Thursday, April 25. All participants must complete a City of Mesa waiver and signed by a parent or guardian. Mountain View High School is located at 2700 E. Brown Road.
Founded in 1975, Hershey’s Track and Field Games is the longest-running youth activity program of its kind in North America, engaging more than 4,000 communities every year.

In conjunction with Hershey’s Track and Field Games, the City of Mesa is also hosting an athletic shoe drive for kids. Please donate new or gently used closed-toe athletic shoes for children in elementary school. These shoes will be given to local youth who cannot afford appropriate footwear to play sports. Donations can be dropped off at Mountain View High School during game day.
