Weekend of Wonder at Mesa Grande Cultural Park

Mesa, AZ – During the Weekend of Wonder on April 12 and 13, Mesa Grande Cultural Park, 1000 N. Date St., invites you to participate in two great programs. On Friday evening, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. experience the enchantment of storytelling by firelight. Delight in folktales of the Southwest Desert. Children and adults alike will enjoy this fun evening of traditional campfire treats, crafts, and tales. The cost is $2 for museum members and $6 for non-members. Pre-registration and payment are required.
On Saturday, April 13 from noon to 2:00 p.m. meet like-minded archaeology enthusiasts over fascinating Hohokam facts. Learn about the interconnectedness between Hohokam villages with Professor Dave Abbott through the tracing of ceramic production and trade. Lecture program included in price of admission. Museum members are admitted free and admission to the mound is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
