Mesa, AZ – Mesa City Manager Chris Brady announced today that Jodi Sorrell, Interim Director for the City’s Office of Transit Services, has been selected as the permanent director for the organization.
“As Mesa continues to grow, transit solutions become even more important to our residents,” Brady said. “Jodi’s professional experience and her dynamic ability to manage extensive transit projects made her the ideal candidate for the position.”
As Director, Sorrell oversees Mesa’s light rail extension projects, local and express bus services and the coordination of numerous transit developments with regional, state and federal agency partners.
Sorrell has been with the City for six years as Transit Project Manager. Prior to coming to Mesa, she worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation and the Orange County Transportation Authority.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Administration.
