Mesa Sister Cities will host its annual September Concert featuring music and dance from around the globe. The free concert begins on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Ikeda Theater at the Mesa Arts Center.
“Music from around the world is a wonderful way to bring residents together,” Mayor Scott Smith said. “I’d like to thank Mesa Sister Cities for organizing the concert and the Mesa Arts Center for hosting this important event for our community.”
Artists performing at the Sister Cities September Concert include MC 6 A Capella, Arizona Banjo Players, Guitarras Latinas and Greater Phoenix Chinese Dancers.
The annual concert is part of the Mesa Arts Center’s free season kick-off from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. “Remix Remaster” takes a modern spin on iconic masterworks. In addition to the opening of three new exhibitions at Mesa Contemporary Arts, “Remix Remaster” will include live mixing by a Valley favorite DJ, a graffiti mural performance, live painting, artist demonstrations, photo stations, live music and theater, and a variety of food and beverage options.
