Free financial awareness workshops at Mesa Library

Mesa, AZ – The Mesa Main Library and Red Mountain Library will host their Financial Smarts Series with presentations by the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA). Founded in 1993, SOFA is a nationwide nonprofit educational speaker’s bureau. SOFA will conduct free financial education workshops starting at 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the following Mesa Libraries:
-I.D. Theft - I.D. theft and fraud go hand in hand and Arizona is on top of many lists as the worst state. SOFA will review the most common threats and how to protect ourselves on Nov. 19 at Red Mountain Library and on Nov. 20 from at Main Library.
-Transitioning into Retirement - SOFA will discover what is changing, why it is changing and how to position yourself for success in retirement on December 17, 2013 at Red Mountain Library.
-Paying for Long-Term Care - This is an unbiased review of the primary resources to fund long-term care. The presentation is held on Dec. 18 at Main Library.
