Mesa, AZ – Separate the myths from the truths and learn what it really takes to become a homeowner. The City of Mesa Housing and Community Development Department is co-hosting a free homebuyer workshop Saturday, Oct. 19 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 64 E. First St.
The workshop will include an overview of the City’s HOME (Home Investment Partnership Program) program and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Chicanos Por La Causa, a non-profit organization with more than 30 years of experience in housing counseling, will have a representative talking about its role in the homebuying process. A home mortgage consultant from a local bank will talk about loan programs, documents required to purchase your first home, a review of major loan programs and the availability of programs offering low down payments.
