2008 Bond Project Status
The Mesa City Council placed two General Obligation Bond questions on the November 4, 2008 General (presidential) Election ballot. Both questions passed: one question seeking bond authorization to purchase or construct public safety projects for the Mesa Police and Fire Departments at a cost of $58.3 million; the second question seeking bond authorization to construct street projects at a cost of $135.4 million, of which $24.5 million is reimbursable to the City through the Maricopa County voter-approved Proposition 400 half-cent sales tax for Transportation related activities. This website is designed to allow the voters of Mesa to view the spending and progress of the projects included in the bond program. The information presented is the most recent and accurate financial data on file and is subject to adjustment.
