Known throughout professional baseball as a finishing school for Major League Baseball’s elite prospects, the Arizona Fall League gives baseball fans a chance to see the up and coming stars of the MLB. Mesa’s home team, the Solar Sox are playing 34 games with 16 home games at Hohokam Stadium, 1235 N. Center St. The season runs through Nov. 15 with the Championship game held on Nov. 17.
The Mesa Solar Sox are comprised of players from the Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros and the L.A. Dodgers. About 60-percent of all Arizona Fall League players make it to the MLB.
“It’s really a great chance for baseball lovers to see the next great Dustin Pedroia or Derek Jeter,” Hohokam Stadium Manager, Mark Gallo said. “Ticket prices are so low you can bring the entire family out for a fun-filled day or night game.”
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and children 17 and under. Group tickets of twenty or more are discounted at $4 per person. Seasons passes are still available and are good for any game at any stadium, $75 for seniors (55 and over) and $85 for adults (18-54). Tickets can be purchased on game day one hour prior to game time at the box office. For group tickets please call (602) 681-9362.
Games are played Monday through Saturday and day games start at 12:35 p.m., night games start at 6:35. Gates open one hour before game time. All times are subject to change.
