Mesa, AZ – The City of Mesa’s Code Compliance Division has launched a new and improved method of processing complaints. A simple online form is now available to capture necessary information. Once the form is submitted, a case will be automatically opened. The complainant will be notified by return email confirming the case creation. The form can be accessed at http://apps.mesaaz.gov/codecomplaint/Complaint.aspx
You can also file a Code complaint as part of the My Mesa mobile app. The free app can be downloaded onto your smart phone or tablet from either Google Play or the App Store.
“The online form and mobile app is an easy and effective way to handle code complaints for both the Code Compliance officers and our residents who want Mesa to be a safe and attractive City to live, work and play,” Development and Sustainability Deputy Director Laura Hyneman said.
The goal response time for complaints is two working days. However, the current response time in some areas is seven days. The code compliance officer will respond to complaints according to a priority list, which is available at http://www.mesaaz.gov/codecomp/PriorityList.aspx
While residents will use the new online form and app to report violations, the Code Compliance Division hopes they will notice the nicely kept properties as well. Last year, the City of Mesa launched its Extraordinary Properties campaign to recognize home and business owners who have exceeded the design and maintenance standards in the areas where they are located. Nominations may be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
