Mesa, AZ – A pair of local muralists will create a chalk mural of an American bald eagle, the U.S. national bird, at the Southwest Ambulance Arizona Celebration of Freedom Saturday, June 29 and you can help!  The public will be invited to color in the stars that surround the eagle.  Artists Kyllan Maney and Lauren Lee are inviting people to help create the chalk mural similar to a mural they created at the Dia de los Muertos Festival (Day of the Dead) at the Mesa Arts Center.

Maney and Lee have been muralists for many years and were brought together by teaching art at New School for the Arts and Academics. They began collaborating on chalk murals and other projects at Mesa Art Center three years ago. Last year, they expanded their chalk murals to painting a mural for the Mesa Urban Garden. Both artists independently show their paintings in gallery exhibitions at multiple locations.

Photos of the chalk mural American bald eagle and other artwork from Maney and Lee are available to view at www.mesanow.org.
