Memorial service held for fallen Royal Air Force pilots

Mesa, AZ – The Mesa Cemetery will be honoring the fallen RAF and American pilots with a special memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 10:45 a.m. at 1212 N. Center St.
 
The 24 British RAF and American fighter pilots died during a training exercise at Falcon Field Airport between the years 1941 to 1944 during World War II.  The memorial service will include a fly-over by vintage WWII planes, Scottish bagpipe band, choir performance and guest speakers.  The event is free and open to the public.  Seating will be limited and the public are suggested to bring chairs.  The service will last one hour.
