Kickoff Meeting for the Val Vista Transmission Main Improvements Project

Mesa, AZ - Garney Construction has been awarded the contract to construct improvements to the City of Mesa’s water transmission system. This project will improve the method of delivering water from the Val Vista Water Treatment Plant to three existing City of Mesa reservoirs. The project includes the installation of a new 72-inch water transmission main along Lindsay Road from the Val Vista Water Treatment Plant on McDowell Road to Brown Road. Also included in this project is the installation of a new 60-inch water transmission main along Brown Road from Lindsay Road to 24th Street.
Construction is anticipated to begin in early January 2014. During construction, traffic will be shifted to the east side of Lindsay Road with one lane in each direction and intermittent left turn restrictions in various locations. Please adhere to the posted speed limit while driving through the construction zone.
The public is invited to attend a Pre-Construction Public Meeting where City staff and Garney Construction will be available to answer your questions regarding project improvements. No formal presentation will be given at this meeting, but you will be able to review plans:
