'Biggest Loser' supports Arizona Disabled Sports 5K/10K event

Mesa, AZ – Season 12 winner of the Biggest Loser, John Rhode will be supporting the fifth annual 5K/10K Run, Walk and Roll event, benefiting Arizona Disabled Sports.
“This will be my third year supporting this great cause and I encourage everyone to get out and run, walk or roll for disabled sports,” Rhode said. “It doesn’t matter what skill level you’re at or if you’ve never run a 5K or 10K before. All that matters is that you’re out there being active and seeing what some of these amazing disabled athletes can do.”
The event is held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at Tempe Beach Park, 620 N. Mill Ave. Participants of all ages and ability levels are encouraged to sign up for this community event.

. Race fees are $30 for 5K, 10K, and 1 mile fitness walk and $15 for half-mile kid’s fun run. Race as a team and receive a discount. Register 10 people and receive two free entries or register 20 people and receive five free entries. First race starts at 9 a.m.
All participants will receive a technical shirt and access to vendors and food trucks.
All proceeds benefit sports and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
