Mesa, AZ –“Wingstock: Where Music & Chicken Meat” is the only chicken wing festival in Arizona and is becoming one of the premier festivals in the valley. To kick off Wingstock, a movie screening of the comedy documentary “The Great Chicken Wing Hunt” will be shown on Thurs., April 17 at 7 pm at the Mesa Amphitheatre, 263 N. Center St. Tickets for the showing are $7 and includes four wing coupons for Wingstock.
Wingstock will be held on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This hottest event of the year will feature restaurants from across the valley battling it out for the title “Wingstock: King of Wings.” Current reigning champion, ATL Wings is looking to repeat their win and hold onto their coveted title.
Kids can enjoy the family fun zone, which includes hot air balloon rides and free bounce houses, and a free egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. with HENdrix the Wingstock mascot and the Easter Bunny. Adults can compete in the challenging chicken wing eating contest. See who can eat the most wings in a timed contest! Former NFL Players will be on hand to sign autographs and other contests and events will be held throughout the day.
Live performances from Johnny Anonymous, Laura Walsh and Guitarnauts will round out the day.
Participating restaurants include: ATL Wings, Cogburns Big Wings, Diamonds Sports Grille, Native New Yorker, Uncle Bears Brewhouse Grill, Fat Tuesday, and The Vine Tavern and Eatery, with more to come. Interested restaurants can contact Wingstock at email@example.com.
