Registration open for Hershey's Track and Field Games

Mesa, AZ – Come out and compete at the Hershey’s Track and Field Games on Saturday, May 3 at 9 a.m. at Red Mountain High School. The competition is free to participate. Boy and girls ages nine to 14 will compete in separate divisions. The competition will include the 50 meter, 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter and 4x100 relay races. Competition in the standing long jump and softball throw will also be held during game day. Participants will compete for a chance to qualify for the North American Final in Hershey, Pennsylvania. 

Mountain High School coaches and athletes will also be onsite to help run the event. Concessions and kid zone will also be available.         

All participants must register by submitting a Hershey entry and City of Mesa waiver. To register, submit paperwork to Mesa Recreation Specialist Lacy Bienkowski via email at lacy.bienkowski@mesaaz.gov, fax (480) 644-2698 or drop it off to the Parks and Recreation Office, 200 S. Center, Building 1, Mesa, AZ 85210.

Pre-registration ends May 1, 2014 at noon. Participants can register on-site at the event from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Founded in 1975, Hershey’s Track and Field Games is the longest-running youth activity program of its kind in North America, engaging more than 4,000 communities every year.
