Mesa, AZ – Metso Minerals Industries, Inc. has announced it is relocating its industrial equipment repair and field service facility to southeast Mesa. This will be a multi-million dollar investment to construct the 44,000 square foot facility. The move will plan to create 40 new jobs.
“District 6 in Mesa has become the place for companies to call home, thanks to the convenience of the airport, highways and technology hubs. I am thrilled to welcome Metso to Mesa and look forward to them joining our large contingent of companies bringing jobs to the area,” District 6 Councilmember Scott Somers said.
The facility, located at 8223 E. Pecos Road, will service mining industry customers around the state. The state-of-the-art facility will be used as a combination machine shop, weld shop, mechanical rebuild shop and a field service team center to support, repair and rebuild process equipment that is used in the mining industry across the southwestern U.S.
“This is one more step in our global strategy to continue to bring service closer to our customers,” Metso Senior Vice President Randall Reisinger said. “Metso has been delivering great service in the region for many years, and now the team will expand the offering to develop solutions more effectively and much faster.”
Metso is a leading process performance provider, with customers in the mining, construction and oil and gas industries. Metso employs around 16,000 professionals in 50 countries.
