Mesa, AZ – District 5 Councilmember David Luna will help present a check to benefit youth hockey programs in the valley as part of the 4th Annual Phoenix Coyotes Alumni Golf Tournament Monday, March 31 at the Las Sendas Golf Club, 7555 E. Eagle Crest Drive in Mesa.

“The Coyotes Alumni Golf Tournament is a lot of fun and the money raised for youth hockey is a great way to help our young people become active in the community,” Councilmember Luna said.  “I am honored to be a part of this event.”

Councilmember Luna and former National Hockey League star Lanny McDonald will present the check to Phoenix Minor Hockey Association at a dinner following the event. The golf tournament has raised almost $100,000 to help youth hockey programs in the valley.

Besides McDonald, other former National Hockey League players participating in the golf tournament include Tyson Nash, Clark Gillies and Johnny Bower.  Former National Football League players Mark Rypien and Mike Vanderjagt are also scheduled to play.
