Neighborhood Outreach Events & Activities
  • Approximately 50 volunteers painted the house of a veteran in west Mesa as part of the City of Mesa's 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. The event was part of Love Your Block, a high-impact service strategy and partnership with HandsOn Greater Phoenix in which community members are engaged in revitalizing their neighborhoods one block at a time.
  • Volunteers are still needed and service projects remain available for Make a Difference Day in Mesa Saturday, Oct. 25. Projects include yard cleanups, house paintings, alley cleanup, graffiti reporting, painting of curb numbers and distribution of neighborhood resource bags. For more, visit www.mesanow.org

  • Volunteers organizing service activities in Mesa for Make a Difference Day Sat., Oct. 25 are encouraged to apply to the event's grant program. Each grant involves a store gift card for up to $100 to purchase materials and supplies for a specific project or up to 2 free landfill passes. The deadline to apply is Thurs., Oct. 16 at 4pm.
